Tree Frog Night

"A B&B that is beautiful, not cute. You drive off Washington 542 into a cedar forest, leaving behind the speedy jangle of city and highway to be enfolded in a realm of quiet beauty. It's like sitting on the forest floor - but with every comfort. My room at the Tree Frog Inn was not only immaculately clean and well-ordered, but artful and welcoming. Everything in it had clearly been carefully selected and thoughtfully placed. The room felt like an extension of the forest outside its beautiful, large windows. I felt invited to make full use of the amenities of the Inn and very much appreciated the fact that it is maintained with an authentic effort to honor the environment and operate with small footprint--no mysterious chemical cleaning and disinfectant odors and even a compost receptacle. I sipped wine by the creek, slept beautifully, and would happily have stayed much longer if I'd had time. I will definitely return."

in a silver cedar forest --
a full creek accompanying
a tree frog chorus

My love and I listen...
as spring symphony
dreams flow
and softly sounds
of breathing slow

in our grateful

Delicious Organic Breakfast

For guests staying in the suites*, a light, self-serve continental breakfast is always available in the small kitchen between the suites. This breakfast features organic, locally-sourced and sometimes home- grown ingredients. The menu is below.

On weekends throughout the year (except Christmas and New Year’s Days), we offer the option of full breakfast at 9 am. This organic, home-grown, locally-sourced, healthful breakfast is a sumptuous affair, complete with eggs from our own flock of happy, free-range hens and vegetables and herbs from our garden. We make our own organic jams, whole grain scones, and granola and serve regional delicacies such as smoked salmon and uniquely northwest treats such as fresh berries in season. For the full breakfast, we are happy to accommodate gluten free diets and other dietary needs with advanced notice.

Weekend full breakfast is served in the main house dining room (two steps up), which is adorned with a Mediterranean country-side mural and aerial circus silks (or in nice weather, outside in comfortable furniture on the sunny deck, surrounded by flowers, a fountain and a lovely patio).

*Breakfast is not included with stays in the Forest Room; however, these guests have the option to join us for full breakfast on summer weekends by advanced request.
