Tree Frog Night

"A B&B that is beautiful, not cute. You drive off Washington 542 into a cedar forest, leaving behind the speedy jangle of city and highway to be enfolded in a realm of quiet beauty. It's like sitting on the forest floor - but with every comfort. My room at the Tree Frog Inn was not only immaculately clean and well-ordered, but artful and welcoming. Everything in it had clearly been carefully selected and thoughtfully placed. The room felt like an extension of the forest outside its beautiful, large windows. I felt invited to make full use of the amenities of the Inn and very much appreciated the fact that it is maintained with an authentic effort to honor the environment and operate with small footprint--no mysterious chemical cleaning and disinfectant odors and even a compost receptacle. I sipped wine by the creek, slept beautifully, and would happily have stayed much longer if I'd had time. I will definitely return."

tree frog night

in a silver cedar forest --
a full creek accompanying
a tree frog chorus

My love and I listen...
as spring symphony
dreams flow
and softly sounds
of breathing slow

in our grateful
snoozing
ovation!

Our Policies

Check-In/Out: Check in time is 3 pm, checkout time is 11 am.

Single Night Stays: Our typical minimum stay is two nights, and three nights on holiday weekends. Single night stays may be available at any time, however. During high season weekends, we can only consider single night stays close to the reservation date. Feel free to request a single night stay, and we will let you know if it works.

Smoking: To keep our fresh nature air clean for guests, we do not permit smoking in or around the Cottage or house, nor in landscaped areas that others may be enjoying. Smoking areas are available along the trails and among the trees of the property.

Pets: Pets are not allowed, we are sorry to say (though we love them). We do not have enough rooms to designate one for pets, as we have a number of guests with allergies who visit. Also, dogs tend to want to chase (and sometimes snack on) chickens.

Children: Our property is best for people mid-elementary age and older. We enjoy children and appreciate the work of parents tremendously. However, because we are on a natural site that includes ponds, creeks, forest and wildlife—and because we have our own small dog and occasional guest dogs on site, we discourage parents from bringing younger children to stay. In addition, we like to preserve a peaceful environment for our guests, and a couple of our rooms have delicate artwork and craft work. If you would like to bring your elementary-age or younger child along, we may be able to arrange this, as long as parents are vigilant and take responsibility for potential hazards and delicate elements of the room, and as long as your child will not likely detract from the peaceful experience of other guests. Please contact us in advance if you would like to bring your younger child along.

Privacy: We will not share or sell your personal information with any third party, without your permission, except as may be required by law.

Cleaning: As a vacation rental, the Forest Room does not include the option of daily housekeeping. There is a washer and dryer for use according to posted guidelines for a fee of $5/load with all supplies included.

For stays in either of the two suites, for a slightly higher nightly rate, we are happy to include the option of light daily housekeeping. Consistent with sustainability principles, we do not change out linens during this service but are glad to do so by request when needed. For stays of one week or longer, we provide a thorough weekly room cleaning that includes a change of linens.
